Mt. Zion is the oldest ski area in the “Big Snow” country. I think it was originally a community area, but is now owned and operated by Gogebic Community College as a laboratory for their Ski Area Management program.
Mt. Zion has 300′ of vertical, one rope tow and one double chairlift. It is open to the public and is well-known for their reasonable rates and their learn-to-ski programs.
If you have any information about the development of skiing at Mt. Zion, please leave a comment or send it to us via the directions on our About MILSAP page.
