Mulligan’s Hollow – Grand Haven

Mulligan’s Hollow is a community run area in Grand Haven overlooking the Grand River. According to wikipedia:

Originally built in 1960 through the help of volunteers, it has provided kids, teens, and families a local, comparatively inexpensive location to enjoy snow sports. In 2009, the day-to-day operations were handed from the City of Grand Haven to a new, volunteer organization named the Ski Bowl Association in an effort to remove the financial burden from the city’s budget.

As I write this, Mulligans Hollow is open for skiing. The following picture is from their Facebook page.

  1. Tom Fullerton says:

Learned to ski here on the bunny hill in 1963. No lessons. Playing tag with friends while night skiing was a blast. Throwing logs on the fireplace inside was exciting for an 8 year old. Later, sidestepping to the top of Five Mile Hill we would tuck it to the bottom, fly off some hay bales and land in the parking lot. Did the same on a dare a few years later on a jump out back below the city water tank but that time ended up in the hospital with a spiral fractured tib and fib; 1967.

  2. How do I get to the hollow I would like to bring the kids for the kids day during Coast Guard festival
