On Feb. 3, 1966 Brock Park was listed in the Cass City Chronicle as having ski slopes, 2 toboggan runs, rope tow and skating. The Detroit Free Press for October 27, 1968, said Brock Park 2 mi west of Ionia on M-21 was a beginners-only area with 1 rope tow. On Dec. 10, 1970, The Cass City Chronicle published the 1971 AAA Michigan Winter Sports Fun List. It stated Brock Park offered limited skiing and tobogganing with a rope tow
Bertha Brock park is still in existence and is a beautiful park with summer facilities and X-C skiing in winter (but no tows).
